Södertälje World Drone Cup

Location

The location for the first Swedish international open World Drone Cup event will be held in Nykvarn, about one hour outside Stockholm and be arranged by Södertälje Modellflygklubb.

To get here you can either fly to Stockholm Arlanda or Stockholm Skavsta airport which are both within about one hour’s travel.

The competition will be held at the Södertälje Modellflygklubb’s grass field, with budget-friendly focus on providing a great competition experience for all pilots. The timing of the event at the end of June will give us plenty of daylight, as the sun sets late and rises early!

We recommend staying close to the field and we are hoping to be able to offer special fares at local hostel/hotel.

Food, electricity and portable toilets will be available at the field.

The official language will be English for all communication during and before the event.

  • The rules for the competition will be based on FAI F9U class rules with possible local adaptations TBD.
